“Everybody can be great because anybody can serve.” –Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

AmeriCorps - PlayworksJoin us in a week-long celebration of all the contributions AmeriCorps members make in our communities. This school year, we have 242 Playworks AmeriCorps coaches serving in our schools. Playworks coaches are caring, consistent adults, working to make playgrounds safer and to help create positive school environments where every kid can succeed. In return, each member is proud of the work they do and is empowered to continue their efforts to inspire youth. Our communities are better because of their dedicated service. Whoosh claps to you, AmeriCorps members!

Each year during AmeriCorps Week, Playworks recognizes the commitment of our AmeriCorps members by highlighting the extraordinary impact they make across the nation every day. This year, from March 10 through 16, we will be celebrating AmeriCorps Week by saluting members and alumni for their service, thanking community partners, and communicating AmeriCorps’ impact on communities and on the lives of those who serve.

Being a Playworks Coach has really given me the opportunity to make an impact on a larger level than I thought I could. Finding Playworks, or Playworks finding me, was the best thing to happen to me because I’ve been able to just positively change all my students’ lives.
