Students at Montpelier High School take 15 minutes each afternoon to unplug and unwind.

One of the top high schools in Vermont is doing something unusual each day. Students and teachers take a 15 minute break between afternoon classes.

This isn't time to catch up on homework or text friends, either. Students and teachers work together to create options for everyone to unplug and unwind.

Each day, you may find sports outside, games in a classroom, music in another, even a group of students meditating. And students say this break helps build camaraderie and make it easier to focus once class is back in session.
