Terrapin & the Hare 5K Mud Run 2013

  1. Updates

Terrapin Adventures is teaming up with Playworks Baltimore for a 5K mud run to help raise money to bring recess to schools in the Baltimore area.

The Terrapin and the Hare Mud Run is a fun, high intensity obstacle course run through the woods of Savage, Maryland, an easy 25 minute drive from Baltimore City.

Starting at Terrapin Adventures, the Terrapin and the Hare will include 5 kilometers of very tough terrain and will contain obstacles such as climbing walls, tires, webs, and, of course, mud. This race is not for the weak of heart! If you like a challenge and some food topped off with a beer from the Rams Head Tavern at the finish, then the Terrapin and the Hare is the race for you. Come run, jump, climb and get muddy for recess May 5!

Bringing the family?  Playworks coaches will provide fun games and activities for the kids while you're on the course.

Playworks has been serving the children of Baltimore City since 2005. This year we’re playing with more than 10,000 children every day in 24 Baltimore City schools, tapping into kids’ natural drive to play to improve their health, their learning, and their schools.

  • Ask your friends, family, co-workers, and/or classmates to help sponsor your run and make a donation.
  • Fundraise online: When you create an online fundraising page, you’re creating buzz about the run and helping spread the news about Playworks.

Use this fundraising kit to collect donations. Can't make it to the race — sleep in and make a donation to Team Playworks Baltimore to show your support!
