Playworks implements corporate play days at regional offices.

Here at Playworks we believe in the power of play—for everyone! Recess is the time when most organic social interactions happen and when kids learn how to communicate, work, and most importantly play, with each other and on their own. And Playworks understands that these benefits are not just for kids and that adults can benefit from them as well.

Last August, National Public Radio published an article on the power of play for adults. Citing the numerous benefits that recess has on the emotional and physical aspects of the individual, the article explains that this time to unwind can actually improve the focus and work potential of adults, just as it does with kids. Aside from providing an outlet for adults to get active, play also breaks up the monotony of the work day, necessary for adding a dose of energy into the time of day that is often chock full of business meetings and assignments.

Understanding the importance of time to engage in play for both kids and adults, Playworks has provided Corporate Play Days for local businesses to participate in recess at a partner school. This opportunity not only allows our local partners to spend time with children on the playground but to refresh and rewind before returning to the office. Through encouraging our partners to participate in Corporate Play Days, we are continuing our commitment to spreading the necessity of play. We’d love for you to join us.
