2012 was a big year for play and the Playworks blog. The following are the top ten Playworks blog posts of 2012.

Two thousand twelve was another big year in the world of play. Among many things, First Lady Michelle Obama announced a focus on the power of play for promoting children's health and well-being, Chicago Public Schools mandated daily recess for the first time in over 30 years, and the American Academy of Pediatrics released a policy statement stating ‘Recess is Crucial’.
