Edward E. Ford Foundation Grant

The mission of The Edward E. Ford Foundation is to strengthen and support independent secondary schools and to challenge and inspire them to leverage their unique talents, expertise and resources to advance teaching and learning throughout this country by supporting and disseminating best practice, by supporting efforts to develop and implement models of sustainability, and by encouraging collaboration with other institutions.

Deadline: 3/1, 4/1, 9/15 annually

Eligibility:

  • Schools must be full, active members of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS)
  • Head of School must have served for a full two years before a request for placement on an agenda may be made
  • The Head of School must phone the Foundation office in order for a school to be placed on an agenda
  • Most grants are for $50,000 or less, with a match of at least one-to-one
