What is Corporate Recess?
Corporate Recess is a lively, inclusive team-building experience that fosters increased employee satisfaction and collaboration. It is an interactive, customizable, non-traditional approach to help you achieve your diversity and inclusion goals in a way that is meaningful and fun for your team.
Why is it important?
Developed and facilitated by the staff of Playworks, the leading national nonprofit leveraging the power of play to transform children’s social and emotional health, Corporate Recess engages your employees in games that strengthen teamwork, conflict resolution, and respect for difference—skills and values as vital for adults in work environments as they are for children in the thousands of schools that Playworks partners with nationwide.
Who should participate in Corporate Recess?
Corporate Recess is suitable for groups of almost any size. We recommend a minimum of eight participants, and have led Corporate Recesses for more than 100 people at one time with organizations that range in size from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
How long is the workshop?
Depending on your needs and capacity, your Corporate Recess can be structured to run in an efficient 90 minutes to two hours or can expand to a half-day immersion in play and team-building.
Play fosters creativity. And when you’re at a Playworks event you can’t help but to bring that energy, excitement, and creativity back to the organization.
