The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every kid, educator, and school in our community. While we are all hoping to reshape a new normal as quickly as possible, we will only be able to do so with your immediate and lasting support.
As the world is quickly adapting, kids will need to be increasingly resilient. They are now getting used to learning and playing at home and will eventually transition back into a school environment that feels and functions differently due to COVID-19.
Skills like resilience, communication, motivation, and self-awareness are going to be key for kids to get through these transitions. Playworks has switched to serving kids in our community virtually to help kids practice these competencies as well as new skills through Play at Home. In order to continue supporting kids through this transition and be there for kids when they return to school, we need your support now.

Anita has been trying to learn and connect with others differently since her school building closed. Sometimes it has felt challenging to adapt. Playworks has been helping kids like Anita practice active listening and communication via fun, interactive instruction through Play at Home. And when she goes back to school, Playworks wants to be there for her with trauma-informed activities ready to help make her new normal feel safe and inclusive. All of these changes can be scary for young kids. Together, we can help kids like Anita be ready to learn and play again.
