Join us for the Ninth Annual Playworks Run for Recessa family-friendly 5K and One-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, May 19.

Run for Recess offers opportunities for the whole family to get involved at Franklin Park’s world-famous cross-country course adjacent to the zoo! All participants will enjoy a fun family environment, an electronically timed race, and an awesome gift bag. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers, and certificates will be distributed for various age and gender categories.


When

Saturday, May 19, 2018 (rain or shine!)

  • Pre-registration and registration opens at 8:30 a.m.
  • One-Mile Fun Run beings at 10 a.m.
  • 5K Run for Recess begins at 10:30 a.m.
  • Recess 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Why

Have fun and support play and physical activity at 140 schools across New England and run a spring race.

Cost

$10 Youth Entry Fee (Under 18)

  • One entry for either the 5K Run for Recess or One-Mile Fun Run
  • T-shirts for first 400 runners who are pre-registered (sizes not guaranteed)
  • All proceeds support Playworks programming

$25 Adult Entry Fee (Over 18)

  • One entry for either the 5K Run for Recess or One-Mile Fun Run
  • T-shirts for first 400 runners who are pre-registered (sizes not guaranteed)
  • All proceeds support Playworks programming

$50 Family Fun Pack Fee

  • Four entries for either the 5K Run for Recess or the One-Mile Fun Run
  • T-shirts for first 400 runners who are pre-registered (sizes not guaranteed)
  • All proceeds support Playworks programming
