Girls Basketball Leagues Fill Maxfield Gym With Cheer

  1. Updates

Every Wednesday and Thursday night, Girls basketball teams from eight Playworks schools came together in November and December to build their basketball skills and play against each other for the joy of the game.  Parents line the gym to cheer on their girls while Coaches and Referees help work on the fundamentals including dribbling, passing, defense, and scoring.  Though we don’t keep score, the girls get comfortable playing in a game atmosphere against other 4th and 5th graders from Minneapolis and Saint Paul.  In January we will begin our Coed Volleyball leagues.
