The Zilber Family Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals, families, and neighborhoods. As part of its Quality of Life Plan for Lindsay Heights, Clarke Square, and Layton Boulevard West, the foundation recently awarded Playworks Wisconsin a grant in the amount of $200,000 to help sustain and expand Playworks programming in the neighborhood’s public schools, serving over 1,000 elementary school children, over the next two years. We feel honored and excited to help the foundation empower its neighborhood schools to enable academic performance and civic character for the purpose of sustaining personal well being and a healthy community. The Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s mission is to inspire philanthropy, serve donors, strengthen communities now and for future generations. As part of its priority to strengthen education, the foundation recently awarded Playworks Wisconsin a grant in the amount of $25,000 to help sustain and expand Playworks programming, especially in schools serving predominantly Latino schools, like Rogers Street Academy. We appreciate the foundation’s support in helping us improve the well-being of more children through play. Click here to learn more about the Greater Milwaukee Foundation.

BelAir Cantina, known for $2 Taco Tuesday’s and Thursday’s and for Chef Noe’s passion for keeping it fresh, simple and tasty, not only continues to expand, with its fourth location opening soon in Oak Creek, but also contributes to the community in a significant way. The restaurant group recently named Playworks Wisconsin as its next Powered by Tacos nonprofit. Proceeds from the sales of a special taco during the months of October through March of at least $25,000 will be awarded to Playworks to support the expansion of our new TeamUp program, impacting more than 2,000 elementary school children.
