The Playworks fourth and fifth grade girls' basketball league is designed to build empathy and teamwork by teaching girls the skills of basketball so that they feel comfortable learning and playing the sport with their peers. In many cases, Playworks leagues provide opportunities to develop athleticism that many students may not otherwise have.
