Bump, Set, Spike!

  1. Updates

After weeks of practice and learning volleyball, dozens of students came together for a volleyball extravaganza, an event for students to practice their volleyball skills in a fun atmosphere and play games with students from all 14 Playworks partner schools. Our students participated in fun skill-building games and activity stations. The event was dedicated to teaching students the terminology, fundamental techniques, and structure of the sport, all while focusing on our main rules – respect the game, play hard, and have fun.

We appreciate all of our Playworks families who brought their volleyball players despite the frigid temperatures. We had the highest attendance rate to date for an after-school event!

Thank you to the COA Goldin Center for hosting our event and providing a team to participate. Also, thank you to all of our volunteers from Kohls in Bayshore Town Center, Concordia University Women's Volleyball Team, friends, family members, and educators. Our event would not have been so successful without your support!

See pictures from the event.
