Jeremiah Curtin Leadership Academy Knows Play Matters

  1. Updates

Playworks is pleased to announce that Jeremiah Curtin Leadership Academy has been selected as our quarter three Power Play Partner. In order to promote healthy school partnerships and to encourage school staff to use the power of play to bring out the best in every kid, Playworks Wisconsin implements the Power Play Partner contest each quarter of the school year. Power Play Partners are nominated each quarter by program coordinators and winners are selected by Playworks Wisconsin’s program director and managers.

Congratulations to the incredible staff at Curtin for being chosen for this award. Curtin’s staff has shown excellence in participating in games at recess, teaching children respect through play, and engaging students in physical activity throughout the school day to establish a community saturated with our core values of respect, inclusion, healthy play and healthy community. It truly is amazing to see how this school has transformed through the power of play.

“The teachers and leaders at Jeremiah Curtin Leadership Academy are one in a million. The Curtin community understands and exemplifies the power of positive play every single day. Whether it’s out on the playground, inside the classroom, or during Playworks class game time, the Curtin crew plays the right and respectful way with a smile. Go Cougars!” – Coach Laurie.
