September AmeriCorps Coach of the Month: Coach C

Coach C is in her first year as an AmeriCorps member, and she's making waves on the playground at James E. Moss Elementary. Coach C is working closely with all the teachers at the school to help get them get engaged in recess.

Coach C has faced the challenge of serving on such a large playground by efficiently mapping out her playground. She has transformed the blacktop it into a safe, engaging space where all students feel welcome and excited to play! Here's a little more about Coach C:

What is your favorite game/sport?

Volleyball

How do you usually relax after a long day?

I relax with yoga, listening to music, laying in the park with friends, or reading.

What is your guilty pleasure?

The entire Wicked soundtrack.

Tell us two fun facts about yourself!

After graduating college, I went on a solo backpacking trip. I am also a yoga instructor.
