‘Who’s Ready to Play with the Lakers?’ 2017 Fit for Life Health Fair

  1. Updates

It was a beautiful day for our Junior Coaches and players from Playworks’ developmental sports leagues to meet Los Angeles Lakers Tyler Ennis, David Nwaba, Metta World Peace, Thomas Robinson, and the Laker Girls.

On March 23rd, the City of Hope presented Lakers Fit for Life Health Fair at Campus El Segundo Athletic Field. Nearly 300 students from Playworks’ partner LA Unified School District, came out to play and learn about the importance of being fit and active.

Upon arriving at the field, our Junior Coaches were treated to a healthy lunch and a fun lesson on maintaining a healthy diet to stay active and fit. Once lunch was finished, the Lakers Girls and Lakers came out to play Magic Tag, RoShamBo, Kickball, 1 Fish 2 Fish, Dodgeball and Spark! It was a fantastic day, and kids made new friends from different schools across Los Angeles.
