September 2012 Coach of the Month

  1. Updates

Shuriah Lee is Playworks Durham Coach of the month for September. Coach Lee is the program coordinator at C.C. Spaulding Elementary School. Coach Lee is considered a returning coach despite the fact that she was only at her school a month before summer break began last year. In just one month,  she transformed the Playworks program at the school into the program it is today. Spaulding is extremely excited to see what she can do with a full year.

Coach Lee was nominated as September’s Coach of the Month for going above beyond. She prepared and facilitated a school-specific teacher training, incorporated her school’s yearlong theme into program, attended an optional service project, exceled in league recruitment, and collected league scholarship dollars that were difficult to come by last year.

So this month we give a huge “Woosh Clap” to our Playworks Durham Coach of the Month Shuriah Lee.
