NBA Champions Celebrate Playworks

  1. Updates

Through the #Hoops4Kids program, the Golden State Warriors donate $500 per made 3-point shot during the regular season to local organizations that work to improve opportunities and outcomes for kids. Playworks Northern California is honored to be one of those chosen organizations.

On November 26th our partnership was highlighted at Oracle Arena. The special evening included:

  • A guided tour of Oracle Arena
  • Courtside seats to watch the Warriors players warm up
  • The #oraclezone experience during the game
  • A featured Playworks video being played on the jumbotron during halftime

The first 10,000 fans to the game received a Splash Brothers bobblehead that shared information on the Get Fit programs—a collaborative initiative with the Golden State Warriors, Playworks, and Kaiser Permanente to educate Bay Area youth on the importance of healthy eating and active living.

The game ended in a rousing Warriors comeback to overcome an 18-point deficit and get the win over the Orlando Magic! It was an amazing night celebrating the Warriors-Playworks partnership. We continue to be grateful for the support received from the Warriors Community Foundation.
