Coach Molly Makes Excellent Happen

  1. Updates

Coach Molly is a first-year AmeriCorps program coordinator at Gardner Pilot Academy in Allston. This year, Coach Molly has helped build a positive, supportive, and fun school environment by building great relationships with all students and school administrators. Additionally, Coach Molly is always willing to help with school events to further promote a healthy community at her school.

In January, Coach Molly planned a community event for her school alongside students. Each Friday last month, Coach Molly taught a class about the importance of community engagement and leadership through games and play. Coach Molly worked diligently to create a curriculum that was fun, interactive, and valuable. Over the course of the year, the students in this class developed a passion for community service and giving back. With the help of Coach Molly, the students led a canned food drive. The students hung up fliers to promote the event and were able to collect food for deserving families in the Allston community.

Coach Molly continues to make excellent happen by actively recruiting volunteers at her school. She is sharing the importance of play and physical activity at school by engaging her personal network in Playworks volunteer activities. Additionally, Coach Molly continuously volunteers her own time in the local community to other deserving nonprofits. With her incredible personality and positive attitude, we are confident that Coach Molly will continue to make excellent happen throughout New England.
