Playworks Denver Basketball Extravaganza

  1. Updates

Last week, Playworks Denver kicked off their basketball season with a basketball extravaganza.  Despite the frigid weather, over 80 4th and 5th grade girls showed up from our 12 schools to participate in skill building games where they learned to pass and shoot, control the ball and defend against opponents.  Young girls ran around the gymnasium with bright eyes and huge smiles, excited for their upcoming season.

For most of these girls, joining the Playworks basketball league will be their first time on an organized sports team.  Playworks Denver is excited to work with these girls to help them not only develop their basketball skills, but to improve on life skills; and most importantly to have fun!
