Playworks Arizona Highlighted at UNITE 2024 Non-profit + Grantmaker Conference

In a conference room at the Mesa Convention Center, a room of non-profit professionals erupts in song as they chant “Mingle, mingle, mingle!” while conga dancing across the floor. This musical Playworks game is a favorite ice-breaker for children, and now these non-profit leaders are experiencing its power on adults.

The UNITE Conference is Arizona’s largest annual gathering of non-profit and grant-writing professionals. Hosted by Arizona Impact for Good, the UNITE conference provides a full day of motivation, education, and inspiration to all who seek innovative ways to build thriving charities and foundations.

On August 15, 2024, Playworks facilitated a breakout session on The Power of Play: The Benefit of Play for Healthy Teams. Approximately 45 participants worked to improve their communication skills and team health through ice-breakers, attention-getters, and energizers.

“They really embraced this workshop,”  reports Arizona’s Program Director, Lisa Paulos, “The entire group was lots of fun. One participant said this was the best session to attend after a [hearty] lunch!”

Playworks Arizona sends a special Rodeo Clap to Program Director, Lisa Paulos and Program Manager, Erin Mahoney for helping our local leaders ride into the future of team building. Yeehaw!
