California PBIS Coalition Recognizes Orange County Playworks Schools

  1. Updates

Congratulations Playworks Southern California partners on receiving statewide recognition from the California PBIS Coalition!

Playworks is proud to have partnered with a special group of 2016-17 California Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Coalition Coalition Implementation Award winners who extended PBIS to the playground by creating a safe, inclusive environment for all students to participate in a physically active recess period.

PBIS is a framework or approach for assisting school personnel in adopting and organizing evidence-based behavioral interventions to enhance academic and social behavior outcomes. It emphasizes that student management and preventive school discipline be integrated into a positive and safe school climate.
