Through Playworks Pennsylvania, junior coaches help organize games at recess. One student who fills that role at Chester A. Arthur Elementary is Nafis Johnson.

Through the partnership, Playworks provides Kirkbride with a coordinator once a week every month. The Playworks coordinator works with two recess coaches at Kirkbride to implement a plan on how to run recess through organized games. Some of the games that students play in the play zone include dodge ball, foursquare and soccer.
