It’s Portland’s largest Fun Run! Join thousands of runners for the 40th anniversary of the Starlight Run, a 5k (3.1-mile) run on the PGE/SOLVE Starlight Parade route on Saturday evening in front of more than 250,000 spectators. In the last 39 years, more than 138,000 runners have covered more than 400,000 miles of fun in this sanctioned Rose Festival event!

The event starts and finishes at the Lincoln High School field between SW Jefferson and SW Salmon on SW 16th, on the west side of the school.

Costume Contest

Join the fun in the prize-filled costume contest. Categories for youth, individuals and groups. You must be a registered participant to enter. Find all the details here.

Costume contest participants must adhere to “tasteful” criteria standards. Please remember that this is a family event and plan your costume for a “G (general)” audience.

DJ Dance Party!

We’ll have you ready to party with a DJ dance party before AND after you run.

Start and Finish Area

In addition to our costume contest, we have exhibits, giveaways, games and kids activities on the field at Lincoln High.  You can check a SMALL bag of extra clothing at “Gear Check,” too.  Refreshments will be available for all finishers.

Results

The Starlight Run is a Fun Run, with no official results produced or published.  There is an official clock at the start and finish line displaying the time from the official “horn” start of the event.  Check your watches as you start and finish for your personal finish time.
