Trail Blazers Partnership

  1. Updates

For a second year, Playworks is collaborating with the Portland Trail Blazers as one of five community partners throughout the 2015-2016 season. The five Trail Blazers Make it Better partners are Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Portland, Playworks, SMART (Start Making a Reader Today), and Urban League of Portland. The Trail Blazers are committed to making the community better by dedicating resources to high quality, impactful nonprofit organizations in Oregon and SW Washington.

You can get involved by volunteering with Playworks at the 5050 Raffle on specific Blazers Game Nights. For each home game listed below we need 25 volunteers to raffle tickets during the game. Twenty-five percent of the money earned each evening will help Playworks provide healthy, inclusive play to more than 15,500 kids in 23 schools across the Portland metro area.

Total volunteer time is about 3.5 hours of raffling. All volunteers will receive a food voucher, water, and likely free viewing of the basketball game during the third quarter. To volunteer, email Monica at mbrewer@playworks.org.
