Stand Together Partner

  1. Updates

Playworks is excited to partner again with the Portland Timbers and Portland Thorns FC as an official Stand Together Community Partner.

Stand Together represents the relationship between the Portland Timbers, Portland Thorns FC, and fans, signifying the strong commitment to supporting and standing by the community both on and off the field. The mission of Stand Together is to harness the power of sport to improve the lives of children and families in the greater Portland area through targeted programs, deep partnerships, and philanthropic giving. Stand Together focuses impact on high-risk youth in the Portland Metro region using sport as a lens through which we work to improve their education, increase physical activity, and further youth engagement with the environment, all while celebrating the diverse cultures and communities of the youth and families they serve.

Upcoming Stand Together Events:

May 30: Playworks Soccer Jamboree
The Soccer Jamboree brings together all partner school 4th and 5th grade co-ed soccer teams to play an afternoon of games with one another.
June 8 to 14: Stand Together Week
The Portland Timbers, Portland Thorns PF, along with 2015 Stand Together Week presenting sponsors organize Stand Together Week as a call to action to the community to  get involved and volunteer. Projects for this week will be announced soon. Check back for more details.
