The 1st Annual Corporate Kickball Tournament was an outstanding success! Friday, June 18th dozens of folks got together in support of Playworks Portland and played in our amazing kickball tournament. Participants and supporters included: Nike, Stand for Children, Symantec, Portland Trail Blazer's, Dutch Brothers Coffee and Oregon Sports Authority. The Blazer's generously donated the BBQ catering for the event, Lompoc and Rockstar donated the beverages, the sun stayed out and everyone enjoyed a day on the grass, bonding with their co-workers (lot's of "high fives" and "Good job, nice try" while raising dollars for the important work we do for Portland's at risk youth.
Congratulations to Team Nike who brought home the 'golden trophy' and will compete again for the title next year. For the rest of this year, Nike will proudly keep the trophy at their offices and bask in the glow of a tournament well played.
