Please join us to celebrate a new book inspired by Playworks on October 16!

Dr. Rebecca London’s recently-released book Rethinking Recess: Creating Safe and Inclusive Play Time for All Children in School is based on her extensive research of Playworks and her observations of schools, even those with budget and space constraints, that are making the most of recess using proven strategies.

You are invited to hear Dr. London describe her research, including evidence of the need for equitable access to recess.

We’ll discuss policy recommendations, such as alternatives to withholding recess as punishment, and resources educators can use to redesign recess. Join us in Playworks’ amazing new event space for drinks, refreshments, and as always, recess games to ground the conversation in some serious play!
