Meet our Coach of the Month – Coach Reesey!!

  1. Updates

Congratulations Coach Reesey for being named September Coach of the Month! Coach Ressey is entering her second year as the Program Coordinator at Lakewood Elementary, where she has been a vital asset to the school. With her high energy, smile and wisdom, she creates a safe and happy place for kids to enjoy recess!

What is your favorite Playworks Game? Switch!

What is your previous experience working with kids? I have been working with children for the past eight years! I started out as "The Local Babysitter/ Nanny" and with that experience I moved on to getting a job at the Ymca and with all of the experience I gained there I landed an awesome job with Playworks NorthCarolina and have been rocking it out at recess for over a year now!

What drew you to being a Playworks Coach? The Program Coordinator position was everything I wanted in a job! The added plus is that I am able to put my own creative touch on the things that I do at my school.

What excites you most about the Playworks Program? The reward of knowing that I am able to reach such a BIG number of kids each and every day in just 30 minutes is what excites me! I have the opportunity to provide them some FUN during their school day and I know that recess is something they look forward to every day.
