Program Coordinator in the Spotlight

  1. Updates

Our featured coach for the month of January is Coach Tay!!

Coach Tay is the amazing Playworks program coordinator (PC) at Lady Liberty Charter School in Newark, N.J. This is her fourth year as a Playworks PC and she continues to do an amazing job. Since September Coach Tay has worked hard to acclimate herself to the school culture.

In her first few months, she has succeeded in getting teachers more involved and active during recess and Class Game Time. Coach Tay is always willing to go the extra mile. For instance, when the P.E. teacher was out sick she stepped in to run a few extra Class Game Times to keep the school schedule from being disrupted.

The administration at Lady Liberty Charter School always praises the work Coach Tay does at their school everyday. Her indoor recess is well run and organized.

Coach Tay is currently coaching the middle school girls’ basketball team to victory. The team has won their first three games of the season.

Let's send a big high five to Coach Tay! Thank you for bringing Playworks' core values of respect, inclusion, healthy community, and healthy play to all the children at Lady Liberty. We appreciate all your hard work!
