Playworks Indiana and Indiana University Health Bring Play to JA Jobsparks

  1. Updates

This fall brought the first annual JA Jobsparks event to Indianapolis. Companies from around the area joined forces with Junior Achievement to offer over 7,000 eighth graders the opportunity to explore potential career paths over a two-day event at the Indiana Fairgrounds. This event took place during the annual Indy Do Day and represents Indiana University (IU) Health’s annual Day of Service for Central Indiana.

The effort was tremendous and the outcome was epic! Playworks brought the play, helping volunteers to move the excited students in and out of the experience with good, old-fashioned call-and-response and attention-getting activities. The Playworks Indiana office, along with Regional Executive Officer Dave Dial, were thrilled to help support our IU Health friends to engage students in healthy activities throughout the day and give the grown-ups the basic Playworks training to help each student have a safe and healthy experience.
