Volleyball Season Comes to a Close

  1. Updates

The Playworks Georgia’s co-ed volleyball season has come to a close and it was an incredible month full of respect, inclusion, and fun!

After five awesome weeks where fourth and fifth grade players bumped it, set it, and spiked it, players were able to build skills and confidence, make friends, and have fun. The students played hard during each game and kept a positive attitude. Our games were filled with cheering parents and students encouraging their teammates. High fives, “good job, nice try!”, and other positive sportsmanship behaviors filled the gym at KIPP WAYS Academy through the whole league month.

The co-ed league provided a safe, supportive environment where students felt encouraged to get active, flex their new skills, and have fun- that’s the power of play. Our goal was to teach our players basic skills, teamwork, and good sporting behavior. We would like to thank all the rockstar families, volunteers, and our coaches. We wouldn’t have been able to accomplish these goals without you all! Thank you for helping set a good example for the players and create a fun and healthy sports culture for our youth!

We can’t wait to start volleyball again next spring!
