March Teacher of the Month

  1. Updates

We are excited to announce Mrs. Rodriguez from Cordova School as our March Teacher of the Month!

Mrs. Rodriguez works with students in the fourth grade English Language Learners program at Cordova. Her passion for her job is evident in the care she shows for her students. Recently, she planned a field trip for her students that required a small fee. She took it upon herself to pay for every student in her class so that no child was left behind. Double high-five for showing so much inclusion!

Mrs. Rodriguez is always super excited for Playworks Class Game Times (CGT). During CGTs, she takes it upon herself to make sure that every student is participating. She can regularly be found making her students laugh because of something silly she is doing during one of the games or a joke she cracks.

Respect is no joking matter for Mrs. Rodriguez. No matter the situation, she shows all of her students respect and expects the same in return. Her classroom dynamic is one that all teachers should strive to achieve. She takes the time to talk to her students on their level, make personal connections, and offer guidance.

In addition to her roles as a classroom teacher, Mrs. Rodriguez has taken it upon herself to be the head coach for Cordova on the Run and collaborated with Coach Shalyn on her Community Engagement Initiative. In addition, she has recently started to teach a dance class to students to help promote different cultures and backgrounds. Mrs. Rodriguez embodies Playworks’ core values. Join us in giving Mrs. Rodriguez a huge whoosh clap for helping to #EnergizeAZ!
