January Teacher of the Month

  1. Updates

Playworks Arizona is thrilled to announce Ms. Wallace, from Children First Academy, as the January Teacher of the Month! Read what Coach Greg has to say about her:

Being a part of such a small school like Children First Academy, you get the opportunity to notice the family-like atmosphere between the teachers and their students. And this atmosphere, in a way, takes me back to my years spent in elementary school. The same emotions I had for my teachers resurface when I spend time with the great minds of Children First Academy.

However, there is one teacher in particular that reminds me so much of my years spent in elementary school: Ms. Wallace.

Ms. Wallace is a fantastic teacher and her passion for teaching is second to none. As I walk through the hallways and peer into the classrooms, I notice her emotion and her drive to ensure that her students are getting 100%. As she effortlessly moves through the classroom, students give her the attention and respect that she deserves.

Ms. Wallace not only carries this mindset in the classroom, she also takes it outside during Class Game Time. I recently held a dodgeball Class Game Time where she was completely invested in playing hard. She was making calls, throwing heat, and dodging like her life was on the line. The energy that she displayed empowered all of her students and myself.

Ms. Wallace is more than just a teacher to some of her students. She displays sisterly and motherly characteristics that provide respite for her students. Her kids crowd around her looking for advice, ideas, and someone to care for them. She helps them find the answers within themselves to things related to school and beyond.

Join us in giving a double high-five to Ms. Wallace for helping to #EnergizeAZ!
