January Staff Member of the Month

  1. Updates

Mr. Bloom is a 4th grade teacher at Crockett Elementary School in Phoenix, AZ.

While most teachers spend there lunch break eating and resting, Mr. Bloom comes outside and uses his lunch break for recess. Everyday, Mr. Bloom comes out to recess and plays games from the start to the end of recess. During games, he teaches about fairness, following the rules, and respecting each other even if you are playing against each other.

At times, you can catch Mr. Bloom teaching the games and running them as well. What makes this play time so special is the fact that Mr. Bloom makes all students, not just his own, feel welcome to come out and play with him. Because of his influence, each day not one, not two, but up to 20 to 30 kids will come out to play games with Mr. Bloom during recess.

Mr. Bloom has been a strong supporter of Playworks since day one and continues to show his love for Playworks daily by giving up of his own free time. Thanks Mr. Bloom, for helping Playworks #EnergizeAZ!
