Arizona Porsche Club Visits Playworks for Recess

  1. Updates

On Friday, March 6, 2015, members from the Arizona Region Porsche Club of America visited students at Brunson-Lee Elementary, a local Playworks school in Phoenix. Seven club members attended this fun and interactive Playworks event, giving 500 students the opportunity to experience a variety of Porsche cars. Students were ecstatic as they walked onto the recess yard and were greeted by an impressive line-up of Porsches. Members not only showed off their cars, but took the time to answer students’ questions. What stood out the most for club member Cynthia Giacchetti, who brought her 2001 Porsche Boxster S, was “the students’ enthusiasm for the club visit” which was clear from all their smiling faces and joyful cheers during recess.

After recess, members enjoyed a lunch in Playworks Coach Tayo’s classroom and were able to listen to three teachers who spoke to them about the importance of Playworks and how it has positively impacted their school and students.

Each day, Playworks Arizona serves more than 12,000 students throughout the Valley, instilling in these students valuable life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and responsibility through constructive play. The Arizona Region Porsche Club continues to support the efforts of Playworks by volunteering at events like this Porsche Day, giving students a unique and fun recess experience. For all the students at Brunson-Lee elementary, this was definitely a recess to remember!
