Recessitate makes a splash at Children’s Expo

  1. Updates

Board member Ruth Beauchamp launched her company’s first product. recessitate, instant tools to refresh your class, this month at the National Association of Education of Young Children’s expo in Anaheim, California. Ruth decorated and staffed her booth in traditional Playworks style.  Equipped with foursquare balls and handouts, Ruth introduced Playworks to hundreds of educators who marveled at our work in schools and national expansion into 27 cities.

A portion of proceeds from recessitate purchases will go directly to Playworks San Francisco.

The National Association of Education of Young Children is an organization dedicated to the well-being of all young children.  It is the world’s largest organization working on the behalf of children with nearly 90,000 members.   The annual conference and expo is one of the best professional development experiences for early childhood education, with nearly 18,000 attending this year in Anaheim, California. Thousands of presentations and exhibitors offer educators learning opportunities, resources and the latest research in developmentally appropriate teaching practices for children.  This year, the title of one of the presentations “Play, still controversial after all these years,” was very well attended.

Play is still the answer!
