As part of Bullying Awareness Month, Playworks Program Manager PJ Dever and Principal Stephanie Maneyof Jeremiah Curtin Leadership Academy sat down with TMJ4 to talk about Playworks school partnerships and how we can work together to prevent bullying. These two Playworks advocates discussed the importance of creating safe and inclusive environments for youth to play in, every day as a way to boost their learning and improve their social and emotional well-being. Playworks programming has nationally shown to reduce bullying through its early intervention and prevention methods, all focusing around engaging youth in a fun way – play.
