While historically our services have mostly been in person\, we’ve transformed the Playworks experience to ensure that we can support kids and school staff in their current environment-whatever that is- and ensure they get to benefit from playing every day. DESCRIPTION:The Get in the Game Luncheon is an annual tradition across the Playworks nation. Each year\, regions celebrate play and honor play partners. Playworks Wisconsin also recognizes an annual Corporate Partner of the Year as well as a Junior Coach of the Year. \nWhat makes this event truly unique is the celebration of our Junior Coaches. The annual Get in the Game Luncheon happens concurrently with the Playworks annual Junior Coach Conference. This conference is the capstone experience for 500 fourth and fifth-grade students completing the Junior Coach Leadership Program. Attendees at the Get in the Game Luncheon will have the opportunity to interact with our Junior Coaches as well as hear from our 2018 JC of the Year and other community leaders. \nOur goal this year is to raise $30\,000 through corporate sponsorships that directly support our Junior Coach Leadership Program and in-school programming. Your involvement is critical in helping us achieve our goal. SUMMARY:2016 Corporate Kickball
DESCRIPTION:Even though spring is on hold\, we have been busy planning for our Fifth Annual Corporate Kickball Tournament\, which will be held on Friday\, June 24\, 2016 from noon to 5 p.m. at LaFollette Park. \nWe plan to raise more than $50\,000 (10% of our fundraising budget) this year to support Playworks programming in our partner schools. This year\, Playworks is impacting 10\,200 children in 20 schools. For each school that has a full-time Playworks Coach\, we must fundraise $30\,000. Another way to look at this is $50\,000 raised allows us to bring our part-time model called TeamUp to eight schools. \nTwelve teams will compete in this year’s tournament\, and seven slots have already been filled by these partners: Children’s Hospital\, Kohl’s\, Baird\, Waterstone Bank\, Chicago Title Company\, One America Retirement Services\, and Aurora. \nHow you can get involved and help us reach our goal: \n\nAsk your company to sponsor a team of employees. The PlayShop is for you. \nPlayworks is excited to bring the PlayShop to the Greater Milwaukee area. This unique four hour professional development workshop is designed to give youth workers\, teachers\, administrators\, parent volunteers\, and after-school staff a chance to experience Playworks’ proven method of using play to bring out the best in every child. This event is run by a certified Playworks’ Trainer who will teach attendees basic tools\, activities\, and tricks to facilitate play among students. \nWe are offering this amazing opportunity to for fun\, dynamic professional development to the Greater Milwaukee area on Wednesday\, April 29\, 2015. \n  \n \nSupport for Playworks is provided by the General Mills Foundation.
