In one word, how would your friends, family, or colleagues describe you?<\/strong><\/p>\n Hardworking.<\/p>\n When, where and what was the first place you ever participated as a volunteer?<\/strong><\/p>\n I had lots of experiences serving as a kid and in the Boy Scouts. But the first thing I did as a volunteer was when I was a sophomore in high school, in Summit, NJ. I volunteered with the Volunteers of America as a sidewalk Santa Claus, ringing a bell to collect funds.<\/p>\n What motivates you to volunteer?<\/strong><\/p>\n The joy that I see and feel in others when I am helping out. It’s a shared joy between the giver and recipient that is real and long-lasting.<\/p>\n What have you found most inspiring during your volunteer work with Playworks?<\/strong><\/p>\n I love Playworks because it is such a proactive program. So many programs and things are reactive these days that it is refreshing to see a program that takes initiative to address the issue of bullying before it happens. It is inspiring to see the confidence that Playworks instills in kids.<\/p>\n What do you wish people to know about Playworks?<\/strong><\/p>\n I wish more schools would use it and that people would specifically what Playworks does in the schools with the kids.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" In one word, how would your friends, family, or colleagues describe you?
