{"id":114,"date":"2016-02-19T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-02-19T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.playworks.org\/utah\/2016\/02\/19\/februarys-corps-member-of-the-month-coach-young\/"},"modified":"2018-12-13T12:44:34","modified_gmt":"2018-12-13T19:44:34","slug":"februarys-corps-member-of-the-month-coach-young","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.playworks.org\/utah\/2016\/02\/19\/februarys-corps-member-of-the-month-coach-young\/","title":{"rendered":"February&#8217;s Corps Member of the Month: Coach Young"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/156027918\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>For the month of February, Coach Young has accepted the title of Corps Member of the Month along with the golden trophy award.\u00a0 While Coach Young excels in all things Playworks, her Junior Coach program is exceptionally praiseworthy.\u00a0 She has encouraged and influenced her Junior Coaches profoundly and they have grown into extraordinary leaders under her tutelage.\u00a0Coach Young\u2019s prior background in recreational therapy meant that she was well equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to become a Playworks coach.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why do you enjoy your job?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I enjoy being a benefit to my community and I feel like working with Playworks as an AmeriCorps member allows me to do that. I can help youth to better themselves which creates a better and stronger community. I enjoy seeing people learn and grow and take the things they are\u00a0being taught and put them into action.
