We want to thank our AmeriCorps members and recognize their service and commitment to their\u00a0communities. During this year’s Martin Luther King, Jr.\u00a0Day of Service, our AmeriCorps members partnered with Warren Lane Elementary School in Inglewood to engage in a day of play and beautification. Members repainted the playground which included two\u00a0handball courts, a baseball diamond, five\u00a0switch games and three\u00a0basketball courts. In\u00a0addition, AmeriCorps Members and volunteers assembled a quilt of painted squares to be hung on the playground as a mural. During the event, Junior Coaches lead games with all volunteers and even lead an impromptu dance party.\u00a0We are so proud to have 17 dedicated members who are passionate about bringing the power of play to every kid and impacting our communities in Southern California!<\/p>\n
