This was a great opportunity for our fourth and fifth grade girls and their coaches to show off their skills and play on a regulation college court. Thanks to all of the families and community members who came out to support.<\/p>\n<p>Pilot&rsquo;s Women&#39;s Basketball Program Assistant Sarah Griffin, noted last year, &quot;We enjoy reaching<br \/>out to the community, especially the young children. We have the opportunity to teach them about teamwork and sportsmanship, which are applicable not only within the athletic context but also necessary for many experiences off the court\/field.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>We&rsquo;d like to extend a special &lsquo;WOOSH CLAP&rsquo; to the University of Portland who have been valuable partners of Playworks. We appreciate their support with our Girls&rsquo; Basketball and Co-ed Volleyball Leagues.<\/p>\n<p>A recent quote from a 5th grade Playworks girls&#39; basketball team member; &ldquo;Basketball is my life!
