DESCRIPTION:Do you want to learn how to use play to bring out the best in every kid? Have you heard of Playworks but want to sample our style to see if we are a match for you? Do you want to benefit from Playworks' teachings but haven't been able to organize a larger professional development training? The PlayShop is for you. \nPlayworks is excited to bring the PlayShop to the Eugene\, OR area. This unique three hour professional development workshop is designed to give youth workers\, teachers\, administrators\, parent volunteers and after-school staff a chance to experience Playworks' proven method of using play to bring out the best in every child. This event is run by a certified Playworks' Trainer who will teach attendees basic tools\, activities and tricks to facilitate play among students. \nWe are offering this amazing opportunity to for fun\, dynamic professional development to the Eugene area on Wednesday\, March 4\, 2015. DESCRIPTION:With your help the Playworks Race to Reduce Bullying SUPERteam is our largest team yet with 344 playful peeps!   \nMark your calendars: \nMarch 12: Bib and gear pick up party at The Oregon Public House\,700 NE Dekum St.\, from 11:30am-7:00pm. Stop by for lunch\, happy hour or dinner and designate Playworks as your nonprofit of choice to donate proceeds.  \nMarch 15: RACE DAY! Tweet your race day pictures @PlayworksPacNW using #run4recess \nMarch 15: Post-race party at The Old Gold\, 2105 N Killingsworth St.\, from 11:00am-4:00pm. Grab a delicious Bacon Bloody Mary after a job well done. Proceeds will benefit Playworks!  \nHelp us reduce bullying and get kids more active by taking part in our Playworks Team Fundraising page. You can engage your circles to support your run/walk and help spread the word about Playworks.  \nAs a reminder\, all teammates will receive Columbia Sportswear Employee Store passes and sweet limited edition tyvek Playworks 'back bibs' to wear with playful pride.  \nBy supporting Playworks you are our partner in preventing bullying\, getting kids active and creating a positive\, inclusive school environment for 12\,000 kids daily in 24 low income schools across the Portland metro area.
