SUMMARY:Run\, Play\, and Volunteer at the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Join Team Playworks at the 2014 Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon on Labor Day weekend! This destination run will take our play-friendly pack up and through the heart of the Willamette Valley\, culminating in an amazing day of fun in the sun! We are looking for runners/walkers\, volunteers\, and kids for the FUN RUN! Below are three ways you can support Playworks at the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon: \nEnter the Playworks Fun Run on Saturday\, August 30: \n\nKids and parents are invited to join Playworks in the Playworks Fun Run at the Race Expo.\nClick here for registration or sign up at the Race Expo.\nParticipants will run 1/2 mile at 11:00 AM or 1-mile at 11:30 AM around the trail near the Evergreen Aviation\, Space Museum and Waterpark.\nFun Run players receive discounted admission to the Waterpark and Playworks goodies.\n\nVolunteer at the Expo on Saturday\, August 30 or Race Day: \n\nLend a helping hand! Assist with registration and packet pick-up at Evergreen Aviation\, Space Museum and Waterpark in McMinnville.\nAll volunteers will receive a t-shirt and a donation will be made on their behalf to Playworks.\nSign up to volunteer for Expo on Saturday\, August 30 here (be sure to list Playworks as your affiliated organization).\n\nRun or Walk in the Half Marathon or as part of a 2-Person Relay on “Team Playworks” Sunday\, August 31: \n\nReceive $10 off registration and experience 13.1 miles of incredible views and trails!\nCelebrate your success at Playworks’ post-race party and wine tasting at the finish line in downtown Carlton.\nClick here for registration. Choose the Team Registration option and select “Team Playworks”.\nThe first ten registered for Team Playworks will be a VIP guests with front row seats to watch the race finish with food and drinks.\n\nCheers and we look forward to seeing you at the 2014 Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon!  Please feel free to encourage any friends or family who may be interested in the opportunities listed above. \n\nFor more info\, please contact Monica Brewer at 503-928-8685 or portlandinfo@playworks.org.
