Playworks SF hosted a fantastic party at the Red Devil Lounge on October 6th, with live music by DJ Shindog and the 80s cover band, Notorious. Playworks, deciding not to exclude anyone, invited the community to dance and party with the staff for only $15 a ticket. All proceeds from these sales went to SF Playworks programming.Though things started off a bit slow, with people trickling in by twos and threes, the band struck up and an LED hula hoop joined the mix. Soon, everyone had to have a try. Even the lead singer jumped off the stage to have a go at the glowing hoop. He shortly discovered that hula hooping and singing into a microphone can be a very difficult task! Everyone was dancing, drinking, and singing as loud as they could along with Notorious.
