Incorporating more activity in a child\u2019s day doesn\u2019t have to mean push-ups and jumping jacks. Parents and guardians can use daily tasks as a means to encourage children to be active.<\/p>\n

Taking out the trash or walking the dog can get kids off the couch. Start a relay race for cleanup time or have a pre-dinner dance party to shake the sillies out.<\/p>\n

Having a few go-to games in your back pocket can take the pressure off moments when kids are restless, plans shift, or nothing seems to be working.<\/h4>\n

They make family time feel easier because you\u2019re not scrambling for ideas \u2018in the moment\u2019. It\u2019s a tool to steady the rough moments \u2013 waiting, transitions, breakdowns \u2013 and guide the day forward.<\/p>\n
