Ms. Weston is a lunch monitor at the Taylor Elementary School in Dorchester. She has been a member of the Taylor School community for six years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Many of the kids at the Taylor call Ms. Weston \u2018Nana.\u2019 It\u2019s not hard to see why, as Ms. Weston treats every student at the Taylor School like family. She goes above and beyond to engage with students and support safe and healthy play at recess. You can often find her showing off her skills on the four-square court and encouraging kids to \u201crock it out\u201d when they have a disagreement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Weston always keeps an eye out for the Taylor School Junior Coaches. She supports them to be positive leaders on the playground and occasionally brings snacks to Junior Coach trainings after school.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Tiffany, a fellow lunch monitor at the Taylor, \u201c[Ms. Weston] does so much more than what\u2019s in her job description and the amount of time she spends at the school helping and listening to the kids is inspiring.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Without dedicated school staff members like Ms. Weston, Playworks cannot create a safe, inviting<\/span>, and fun school environment for all of our students. We know Ms. Weston will continue to be a role model for students at the Taylor and work hard to make the school day great for every kid.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
