Stephen Duffy is the principal at the Plympton Elementary School in Waltham. This is Mr. Duffy\u2019s third year as the principal, but he has worked in the Waltham School district for over 20 years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to being a great principal and important member of the Plympton community, Mr. Duffy demonstrates Playworks values everyday! He can often be found greeting students with high-fives and smiles. He knows every student by name and can tell you something unique about each of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Mr. Duffy is awesome,\u201d<\/strong> says Sandra, a fourth-grader at the Plympton. \u201cEven though you might get in trouble, he always says to have a good day.”\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Duffy has supported the Playworks program by working alongside our site coordinator to help select this year\u2019s group of Junior Coaches. He reviewed every application and provided advice to select a strong group of young leaders. Mr. Duffy also communicates with our Junior Coaches\u2019 family members so they know when to be at training.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not only does Mr. Duffy prioritize play for students, he works hard to infuse play into staff meetings and professional development for teachers! He hopes that by the end of the year, teachers and staff will be playing to start off every meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Without dedicated school administrators like Mr. Duffy, Playworks cannot create a safe and fun school environment for all of our students. We know Mr. Duffy will continue to be a role model for students at Plympton and work hard to make the school day great for every kid. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
