Coach Alec is a Playworks AmeriCorps Coach at the J.P. Manning School in Jamaica Plain. Coach Alec joined the Playworks team halfway through the school year, but in only a few months he’s had a big impact on the J.P. Manning recess and the overall school community.<\/p>\n

This month, Coach Alec recruited over 30 students to participate in the Playworks Run for Recess<\/a>. This is a great example of Coach Alec going above and beyond to engage his students and bring the Manning community together.<\/p>\n

Students know they can count on Coach Alec to support them, both on and off the playground. Coach Alec is consistently available for students who need a little extra attention and will always offer a positive attitude and a high five. He puts in the extra time to make sure students get the most out of recess and Class Game Times.<\/p>\n

Coach Alec has also built positive relationships with staff members at the Manning<\/a>. He has gone above and beyond to make recess fun and inviting for students AND adults. When Alec isn\u2019t running Playworks programs, you can always find him supporting the rest of the Manning community.<\/p>\n

We are proud to have a motivated and genuine Coach like Coach Alec representing Playworks at the Manning. We know he will continue to bring out the best in his students for the rest of the school year and beyond!<\/p>\n
